gamescom 2017: license day brings together license experts from around the world

The gamescom license day takes place this year on the trade visitor and media day of gamescom (22 August 2017) in the Congress Centre East. The format, which focuses on current developments in the field of licenses and so-called IPs (Intellectual Properties), is thus taking place for the third time already in the context of Europe’s leading business platform of the games industry. The gamescom license day is oriented to license holders and experts from around the world. It offers professional exchange of ideas and information on the newest trends of the license market and is at the same time a perfect networking platform. The gamescom license day 2017 (conference and networking) takes place on 22 August 2016 from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Offenbachsaal (Congress Centre East). Up until 21 August, interested parties can register under the following link Participation in the event is free.

The gamescom license day encompasses brief impulse talks that, among other things, provide insight into new developments in the IP field. Tobias Soergren (White Wolf Entertainment) has already been confirmed as the speaker for the first slot. Other components of the gamescom licence days are, besides the impulse talks, “study cases”, including from the world’s largest e-sports service provider ESL. Another central component of the gamescom license day is the presentation of available licenses from companies in the games industry to licensees, license agencies and trade visitors. Licensees can here acquire a quick overview of available license titles and rights, and establish new business contacts in the process. As of the beginning of July, an online matching tool provides support in viewing offerings and arranging appointments at an early date in advance of gamescom. Detailed information on the programme of gamescom license day 2017 will soon be available under
