Vertigo Arcades to bring 4D VR experience “Corsair’s Curse” to VR locations worldwide

VR arcade publisher Vertigo Arcades and INNERSPACE VR are excited to announce their distribution partnership to bring Corsair’s Curse, a high-end, 4D free-roam multiplayer LB VR adventure for the whole family to VR locations worldwide via Vertigo’s LB VR distribution platform from Spring 2019.

From the inventive minds behind the upside-down VR adventure A Fisherman’s Tale, Corsair’s Curse is a fairytale-like 4D free-roam VR adventure that drops two to four players of all ages* into the enchanted galleon of the wicked Corsair. Cursed to be either extremely big or small, players will need to collaborate across dimensions and take advantage of their newfound sizes in order to find a way out of their bizarre predicament and escape the vessel with the Corsair’s prized treasure in hand.

Corsair’s Curse is a free-roam, large-scale VR experience that allows two to four players to physically walk around and interact in a shared VR play space. It provides optional support for 4D effects such as vibrating floors and wind effects, all adding to a magical VR world. The LB VR title will be offered through Vertigo’s LB VR distribution platform from Spring 2019 and comes with a fully localized English and French Game Master console that provides operators with all tools for effortless configuration and in-game guidance.

“As the virtual gatekeepers of VR, arcades play an invaluable role in converting VR enthusiasts to VR customers,” said Richard Stitselaar, Managing Director at Vertigo Arcades. “Adding the spectacular Corsair’s Curse to our portfolio brings us another step closer to realizing our vision for making high-end free-roam multiplayer LB VR experiences available to arcades worldwide, arming them with the best that VR currently has to offer to attract customers, whether they are new to VR or own VR headsets at home.”

Experience Corsair’s Curse behind-closed-doors at GDC San Francisco, where it will be playable for the first time in North-America from Tuesday, 19 March until Thursday, 21 March.
